Synopsis
After a hiatus of 23 years, Alejandro Jodorowsky, creator of some of the most profoundly, astoundingly – and confoundingly – exuberant films in the history of cinema („El Topo“ (1970); „The Holy Mountain“ (1973), etc), returns to the screen, and this time the subject is — himself. But this is autobiography à la Jodorowsky, „imaginary autobiography“ eschewing reality in favor of theatre, revealing truth through absurdity swathed in surrealism: excess in the service of revelation. Filled with wild conceits (his mother sings her lines, life seen as opera), theatrical tropes, colorful transformations, prattle both meaningless and monumental, it is what it is, and what it could only be: typical – and one should add pure – Jodorowsky.
Around 2013, presented by Florian Borchmeyer
