After its world premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival and more than 15 international festival invitations , “La Chimera” by Alice Rohrwacher will open the 18th edition of AROUND THE WORLD IN 14 FILMS on December 1, 2023. In the drama, viewers go on a journey to 1980s Italy and the world of Tuscan grave robbers. The lead actor is Josh O'Connor ( "The Crown" ), the screenplay was written by Alice Rohrwacher, Carmela Covino and Marco Pettenello. The work, which won awards in Cannes and Telluride, is also shortlisted for the European Film Awards 2023 and will be released in German cinemas in 2024 (Piffl Medien).
